	It was that time again when the greatest of hula shows is held on the big island of Hawai`i, yes I'm talking about the world famous Merrie Monarch Hula Compettion. The enchanting sights and sounds of the Hula Kahiko and the beautiful and graceful Hula auwana, not to mention the contemporary Hawaiian music and sweet scented fresh flowers and lei that filled the cool evening air at the Aunty Edith Kanakaole Stadium. The Aunty Edith Kanakaole Stadium Palala and our Mauri Cousins. The openning ceremony included performances by halau Kekuhi, Johnny Lum Ho halau, and the return of our Mauri cousins that vibrated the stadium with their tatooed presents and chanting from their homeland (New Zealand). Halau Kekuhi Performed a Hula Kahiko of intense and rigorous movents that was filled with mana, while Johnny Lum Ho halau dazzeled the audience with hula auwana and a sexy clad tahitian number that surely caught the attention of the men in the crowd.
